Re: WSIKF Washington State International Kite Festival

The groups of kiters seem to be standing so far apart. Did that make it easier? Normally, the lines of fliers stand closer together in the grid, however, the manner in which we launched lead to the groups being farther apart There was a line of 32 downwind, and a line of 32 behind them upwind on th...

Re: WSIKF Washington State International Kite Festival

Here is another photo, taken just after the other one posted above. Kites are getting closer to the "concentric ball" formation.

This was really fun stuff.

Re: WSIKF Washington State International Kite Festival

Hello IKE WSIKF was really great this year. Here is a link to some photos that Watty (Spence Watson) posted on Facebook. One of the photos is of the fliers with most of their names "tagged". http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=1797689&op=1&view=all&subj=665254896&id=15840...

Mike

Hope you had a good Birthday. We hit the beach this morning and who should show up? Mark and Jeanette Lummas, John Mason, Carol and Cas Pittman. We were all in town for the Morro Bay Kite Festival yesterday. We really needed you to make #8.

Re: Internet Explorer V8

Lynn and I depended on WIFI at RV parks and other places for years. A year and a half ago we bit the bullet and got an Air Card. It works very well anywhere we have cell service. It will work when stopped or going down the highway. Then, we got a Netgear WIFI router which uses the Air Card as input ...

I'm heeeere! The sun is coming out, but the wind is crankin'. Gonna have to wear my heavy shoes today. Yes, the sun was out,and the wind was crankin'. We had a great time flying today, although, there were times when we had to hang on to Mike. If we could have figured out just how to bridle him, I ...

Re: Thinking About A Quad

Lynn and I started with EXPs. We still fly them. They don't fly as nice as a "B" series, but the do go anywhere we want them to go, in any orientation we choose. They are not a flat as a poly kite, but still fly very well. We also have poly SLEs in SUL, standard and vented. We bought all o...

I dunno, I'm undecided. I want to be able to attend another big festival this year, maybe Wildwood or WISKF. How about the rest of you? We'll be there for sure, but we live very close. Mike, if you do come, you can wear your red IKE shirt twice! I'm sure you know why, care to explain?
