MAKE Magazine articles

Heads up, this quarter's MAKE Magazine (MAKE:36) has two kite-related articles in it. One on Peter Lynn and another on how to make a capstan kite winder. If you don't subscribe, it's a pretty cool magazine. They don't always have kite-related articles, but they come up every now and then.

That's awesome! Does that mean that the "iQuad" logo on the B-series will change to the 180 Go! logo?

... and what happened to iQuad? I thought most of them were heavy-hitters in the quad-line industry (Barresi, Bazzer, Ben, etc...)

photo 1.JPG The wind wasn't perfect, but it was good enough. The travel frame is a bit heavy, if I had a 2 wrap (or even a standard 3 wrap) I think I would have been perfect. photo 2.JPG I followed up an afternoon of flying by taking my kite out to a lovely Spanish dinner accompanied by some Sangri...

I wonder if there are any maids - swannie is working, and the ship is in dry dock. Interesting niche specialty - installing data centers on cruise ships. I find it hard to believe there'd be lots of that type of work out there, or that someone would have to travel from the US to Spain to do the wor...

I'm sensing we have another possible addict on our hands . . . . :-D    So, maybe we should start a survey - how many people have washed off their revs in the shower (raises hand slowly)? . . . :-D BTW, are you here? Nope, here: here ... The beach I tried was here ... from the satellite...

I tried to do a little flying in Cadiz today, but failed. I got rained out (after I got setup, of course) and the local (i.e. walking distance) beach is less then ideal. It looks nice on satellite imagery, but it's got about 100-120 feet of beach between the ocean and a 100-150 foot sloping (45deg a...

Re: Tomorrow 5pm

I brought my b-series with me, I'm hoping I have time to hit the beach here in Cadiz at least once... You need some short lines, and then you can fly on the deck of that ship you're on while it's under way. If it's still under construction, no passengers? LOL, funny, I actually thought about that ....

Who is up for a quick fly tomorrow night from 5 to whenever? I'm off work at 5pm so I wanna do some flying, let me know who is up for it. I can come to you or you can come to me. I'd love to, but I'm in Spain at the moment... :( ... well, technically I'm now on a ship headed to Spain, but I'll be i...

Swannie, I've gotten out to the SG sports complex a few times to fly my EXP. I wish I had more time to put up my SLK's but I'll take what I can get. I hope I can m...
