I'm no expert, but I can take a look. I have a spare bridle too if you need it... I'm planning on 9:00-ish.

Re: October club fly?

Can anyone edit the IKE map? If not, can someone add that location to the "directory"? Done. It's listed under Sugar Grove Middle School (Kaneland Harter Middle School) Damn, that was easy (and quick). :) I don't know if it matters, but the field in question is actually the one a few hund...

Re: October club fly?

It sounds like Sugar Grove might be the best bet, let's shoot for that?

Here's the location for those not familiar:

Re: October club fly?

I'm not sure whether they are picking the soccer fields in St. Charles or the Middle School in Sugar Grove, so I'll wait to hear what they decide. I can probably make a portion of the day either location (as long as I'm home before 4:30 pm). I'll have to work out the "kid activity" drivin...

Re: Quad line sets

I don't have experience with Shanti (afaik), so I will defer to Jeepster on this one . . . I'm sure he knows what he's talking about. I will say that the team 120 sets I've flown (made up by our own Big Mike using LPG, IIRC) are the best line sets I've ever used. They are really nice (and slick), e...

Re: Quad line sets

BTW, the choice of 120's for team flying was somewhat random. When I wrote the manual and polled various international teams, some were flying on 100's. However, the extra 20' really help if you're flying more than 4 kites and I was flying on iQuad at the time and we were flying on 120's... so I ch...

Re: Lam Hoac kite bag

This is a very nice kite bag but I also love to have a new kite so I have to pass on it. Now I still need a kite bag, so it's time to sew. I started last night on it, it was about 11pm and this is what I got so far. When to work with 4 hour of sleep  http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5329/10083810...

Done. It's sort of odd to be able to edit the options after votes are cast. Hmm. :)

Quad line sets

Hey gang, While flying with Xay the yesterday we were discussing shoter line sets (shorter then 120's). I have 3 quad line sets currently, my LPG 120's, then a 85' and 40'-ish. The last two are Shanti lines, and I'd like to replace those with LPG lines so that I can be compatible with other rev flie...

St. Charles - Friday 10/11/2013

I figured I'd re-post this here since it's buried in the "October club fly" thread... Xay and myself are going to do a little flying tomorrow (Friday) afternoon at 5:00 at the St. Charles soccer fields off of Legacy Blvd in Saint Charles.

The more the merrier. :)
