Re: Spar weights

I tried remembering how to pass, but I forgot how we did it exactly.

Dan, we'll get you up here in the Spring or maybe Grand Haven.
Also, we'll be making Roks this winter. Maybe you'll want to come up with your sewing machine.

Re: COOLNESS

That's true. My son never got into kites, but my daughter is good with a Rev.
Every Father's day we make a picnic lunch and spend the day at a park flying lots of different kites.

Re: Spar weights

Ha Ha Hector,
yeah, you'll have to go over the dual section to talk about that kind of weights they add for doing tricks.
Here we are concerned about weight so that our kites can fly well in light winds.

Welcome to the club young Dan! Hope we get you up to some of our flys now and then. And we'll save you a nice spot at the IKE club lounge at Grand Haven.

My latest is a Della Porta, about 3' x 4', with a fuzzy tail. Spars are two 60" .2540 pultruded carbons that I had around. I sized the kite around the spars so I wouldn't have to cut them. It was overcast today, but here's its inaugural fly: [albumimg]31[/albumimg] for those who've made fuzzy ta...

Re: Living in the midwest

I hear ya. I was visiting Southern California, and I was told that there are only two festivals a year there! I guess I'll take the cold, because there are a bunch for great festivals here from April thru October. We'll be putting them on the calendar and going to these as a club. Next year will be ...

Re: connectors

Denny bought all that stuff a year or so ago so he could be a kite hospital at the Perry Farm's festival. What a nice guy. He bought the most common sport kite spars and connectors. But if so, I'll drive up on Friday to even things out.
