Re: Decisions, Decisions...which 1.5 To Get...?

Or, you could just be like me and buy them all... makes it real easy then... I will be impressed when you tell me you have a Backtracker, then I will believe you have ALL of the Revs. For those who have never heard of the Backtracker, it was an entry level kite and the worst Rev ever. Yes, I have o...

Re: *NOT ABLE TO FLY PATRIOTIC KITE*

Pretty much par for the course though. There are very few kite festivals on the Fourth of July because most of the parks are booked solid with events that draw a lot more people. Even when I flew smaller stuff, I never counted on being able to fly in a park on Memorial Day, Labor Day and particularl...

Re: When Do You Fly?

At festivals, that is the downside of Show kites. They are too big and too much effort to run out after work
and fly. Of course that has meant almost every weekend since mid March...

Re: Lincoln City Summer Kite Fest

I like the fact that the more you zoom in on the picture, the more kites you see. At first it looks like a picture of just big kites, but if you zoom in, you can start to pick out many more kites.

The latest bio I have been using:

Lincoln City Summer Kite Fest

Temperatures in the high 60s /low 70s, steady ocean breezes, good friends, some new friends, a good show in the air and watching the sunset from the hot tub. I think I may be living in the wrong part of the country. http://www.ikeclub.org/Forums/album/cd1b66673da3696f74fc15011af0cb39.jpg =

Re: Father's Day At Perry Farms

That is why you stack them. Right now I'm playing around with different color combinations for another Peter Lynn octopussy (already have a yellow 46ft model in my collection). Might just break down & get a BIGGGGG one too seeing as the Killips & Rymaszewskis & Sparling each have one now...

Re: Father's Day At Perry Farms

The caterpiller is on consignment. I don't really own him. If my high pressure sales techniques don't work, he will end up on the factory outlet page at the end of the season. I will probably show up on Sunday and play with my KAP rigs. I may put up the Caterpiller, but nothing that will entail a lo...

<tiptoe>Al? Who had the aoelian instruments at Jamestown? Didja get your pics? (standing back) I think I'm waking a bear...is he a teddy or a grizzly? I was not near the wind instruments. I think I know who that is, but would be very embarrassed to get it wrong. I did not get the pictures I wanted....

I use kits sold by Brooks Leffler, an expert kite aerial photographer, ex-editor of the Aerial Eye (a KAP news
letter) and a pioneer in design of KAP rigs. And a really nice guy.

Jamestown

Well, I have repaired the barrel, the midsize Peter Lynn fish and the pointable KAP rig. I have driven almost 800 miles in just under 12 hours, carried the kites and the barrel up to the second floor of the hotel and will bring them back down in the morning. I am ready to relax and enjoy my leasure ...

Re: RC Transmitter For KAP

I bought a new RC radio last night. The new shutter release works, I just have to void the warranty now by removing the spring from one on the joysticks so I have two axis that don't automatically return to zero. And remember how to keep the one servo from spinning like a dervish. I seem to remember...
