Re: Ok, I bought a Rev...

I'm positive my hands are not fully connected to my brain now... The best way to describe my efforts while flying my 1.5 is this: trying to crash yet failing creatively. I'm starting to get it, but I'm also just as close to pioneering teleportation using a banana and duct tape. Ok, who told you abo...

Re: Greetings from St. Charles, Illinois

You've made tremendous progress, Bill. Keep it going at this pace and you'll be better than anyone else in a hurry -- I don't even want to know how many hours you've put into it, but it shows! Practice .. . . . . . is the key. (Of course, a little knowledge goes a long way too.) I watch the tutorial...

Re: July 2 Busse Fly

Yay! Internet is back -- two days without leaves a lot to catch up on. Lots of fun flying the Rev II's with Bill at Busse Woods. Just some minor field adjustments to his; the uprights were sticking out about 1-1/2" inches above the leading edge. After you fly the Rev II, flying the 1.5 becomes ...

Re: Rev II Questions

I believe that was on 120' x 90# lines when you flew it, and we had full-vent wind.

I like the color combo; it has been a favorite of mine when playing the board game "Risk". Easy to spot your armies.

We should all get some B2 team time in when we can.

Yard work is what Sunday mornings were created for!!!!!

Yeah, crank up the lawnmower at 6a.m. -- got neighbors you don't like?

Looking forward to it! (Perhaps this year where not so many folks are tripping over our lines. But maybe it will be colder than last year, with fewer beach lovers.) Bill Hey, there's nothing wrong with girls in bikinis -- they are welcome to get tangled in my lines anytime, as long as I can help in...

You're around Belvidere, right? If so, you may be interested in joining us at the location where we may fly tomorrow. Don't know if, where or what time yet, but stayed tuned to the 6-20-2015 fly topic to find out.

Re: Limbo triple stack tuning

The uphaul stack lines on the last kite need to be longer than the kites in front of it. How much? Depends on the kite and the length of the stack lines. If they are too short in general, it will also cause this problem.

Hope this helps. If not, then get on the KiteLife forum and ask.

Re: Quad Line Length

Jeff, a couple of small things. Since you're space limited, the rule of thumb is 100 ft from obstructions for every ten feet of height (give or take a few). The wind needs space to smooth out after going around or over trees/houses/hills/etc. Revs can accommodate that some, but smoother wind is bet...
