Re: Kites Over Lake Michigan

I'd like to go to this on Saturday.

How big is the flying field? Is there room for recreational flyers or is the whole area taken up by demos?

Re: IKE Quad Team!

Here is another useful weather site.

Are any of these personal weather stations near the flying field?

Re: IKE Quad Team!

Well, I have some good news/ bad news on the try out. My wife, who works for Midwest Airlines, won tickets for the airline's founders suite at Miller Park for this Sundays game vs. the Giants. Includes a limo ride to and from the game. Bad news. We leave at 11 AM so I can't make it to the try ...

Re: Indoor Rev Spars?

OK, thanks Mike.

I was a little confused. The spars on the Indoor were labeled the same as the two wrap frame on my B-series but I see now they are much skinnier. Shouldn't they be labeled differently? Do they enjoy making me crazy with this stuff?

Indoor Rev Spars?

I just picked up an indoor Rev. Looks to be in new condition. The spars are two wrap, "Professional Use Only". Is this correct? Is there such a thing as "Indoor Use Only" spars?

Thanks

Hey Dave

I have an extra set of Barresi handles you can have. I'll check my schedule for Naperville.

Re: Family Kite Festival, Milwaukee

True, there is more of a chance for rain on Saturday. However the wind is supposed to from the East on Saturday( off the lake) and from the West on Sunday ( from the city). When the wind is from the West, Veterans Park is a terrible place to fly.

I'll be there.

Hey Mike, I picked up a red B-Series standard so I'll be up for any wind condition. Hoping to be ready for the iQuad mega fly in September. :weight:

Re: ? Rev Pilot

That name sounds familiar. It is a cool looking stack. Just happened to get a nice shot of it all fanned out. IIRC it was very windy that day.

I'd like to send him this pic if I could find his e-mail addy.

? Rev Pilot

I took this pic about a year ago at Veterans Park. He attends a lot of the festivals up here. Any Quad Heads recognize this guy or his stack of Revs? [url="http://home-and-garden.webshots.com/photo/1339269236046839500BcATIr"] http://thumb0.webshots.net/t/44/44/6/92/36/339269236BcATIr_th.jp...

Re: Light Wind Kite

:nurse: What would be a good light wind kite for a new dual line flier? I'd recommend the Easy Light by Level One. It's virtually indestructible. Does nice flat spin moves like axels and backspins. Not so good at the fade to flare type moves. But a really good all round kite for beginners in need of...

Hello From Wisconsin :-)

My name is Isaac and I live in Milwaukee. I've been flying dulies for about 5 years. The funny thing about this club is that my nick name is IKE. So maybe I can be a mascot or something. I grew up in Rockford IL, went to the University of Wisconsin for undergrad and Podiatry school in Chicago. I hav...
