Re: 24th Culb Fly

So Jeff to get a shot of him. I dont know if he has posted it yet. If not maybe I can get out tomorrow and try again. I got pictures and some video. I edited it together last night to make it look like there was a lot going on. ;) Got too late last night to upload, I'll put it up a little bit later...

Re: 24th Culb Fly

This is for Chris...he asked the question today.... Fifth Third traces its origins to the Bank of the Ohio Valley, which opened its doors in Cincinnati in 1858. In 1871, that bank was purchased by the Third National Bank. With the turn of the century came the union of the Third National Bank and the...

Re: March 24th Club Fly

Sorry I had to miss the fly today. Work has piled up(I'm not complaining I love to eat) and I had to use the day to catch up. I'm anxiously awaiting some narratives on the day to feed my longing. Lot of description please as it's as close to flying as I'm gonna get for a week or so! I'm waiting.......

Re: Maps

My preference would be to use google earth with a ikeclub.kmz or personal .kmz file that we could keep on the forum and update as neccessary... I'm pretty much a Google Earth geek. I've got mine loaded up with placemarks for people I know, vacations spots, restaurants, you name it. So you can bet t...

Re: *BETTER VIDEOS*

Hector, loss of quality is inevitable when you compress video. Depending on the settings you choose when you create the video file, you will either get a great looking file that is huge, or a file that is smaller that won't be quite as sharp. I'm not terribly familiar with the encoding options avail...

Re: March 24th Club Fly

If it's the same field as that festival in May, and if whomever marked that on the mapping site was correct, then it should be this field just south of the aquatic park... http://maps.google.com/?ie=UTF8&om=1&z=18&ll=41.733521,-88.038372&spn=0.002526,0.005171&t=h Is that the righ...

Re: Question On Carbon Rods And Sizes

Take your kite in and see if it fits. Probably either a .2300 or .2400 size would work ok. But I'm not a dual-line guy, so take my advice with a grain of salt. I wish I could, but it's an hour one-way without traffic. I guess I can call though...I'm a lazy shopper. If it's not on the web page, I te...

Question On Carbon Rods And Sizes

I have a kite that is constructed from 6mm carbon rods. (Acrobatx) Late last year, I broke a lower spreader, and I need to get a replacement. So my question is twofold, actually. 1.) Sizing. I am looking online at parts to order, and I see that the rods are sized in English units, not metric. My rod...

The maps are currently only visible when you log in. Would there be any problem with turning on 'sharing' so that it can be viewed outside this account?

Re: Great Lakes Kite Festival

This sounds like a great time...does anyone have any suggestions or tips as far as accommodations? Where do you stay when in town? What's the "must-see" or "must-do" of the weekend? I have a 3 year old, do you think that there is enough going on to interest her? We'd probably jus...
