Re: Making (or Fixing) A Line Set

Thin picture wire worked well for me when I used to sleeve that thin stuff. Another good idea. I stopped by the Home Depot, and they had a 100' spool of 28 gauge wire for a couple bucks in the picture hanging section. Folded it in half and fed it through to pull the line through...worked very easil...

BLASPHEME!

Ha! I just don't play much. I have 2 guitars that are mostly idle. I'm a mediocre and infrequent player.

Making (or Fixing) A Line Set

I have a line set that broke near the handle when we were out in Sycamore. I'd like to fix it and get some more use out of it, but I'm not sure how to fix it, specifically with regard to the sleeving.

Is there a particular tool for getting the line through there? Anybody have a tip for that?

Re: Video Problem

But actually, what I did was take your original file, which was around 145MB and I transcoded it into a WMV file that is only about 24MB. That is what I uploaded to Google video. Now Google does still transcode it again, and that took it down to about a 7MB FLV file. Did you catch that Hector? Save...

Re: Video Problem

Is there a reason why Google and not YouTube, or just a matter of personal preference? Just a preference, I guess. I've used both, and they're not that dissimilar. But there are features on Google that I like a bit better. 1. If you want to keep a video private, on Google you just have it excluded ...

Re: Beginners' Tricks

Nice! Jeff, go ahead and start a new topic titled Tom's Trick Tutorial Videos or something like that. We can collect Tom's video's there. Now we just need a second videographer so we can film Tom and the kite simultaneously and do a picture in picture kinda of thing. Some slow-mo would be good...

Re: Oswego

By the time I left, I had a pretty nasty sinus headache going. I made two important mistakes. I didn't drink enough water, and I didn't put on sunscreen. I think I was really dehydrated, and roasted. I stopped for something to drink on my way out to my friend's house, and guzzled a lot more water on...

Re: Video Problem

I've uploaded your video to Google Video. They've done whatever processing they throw into the mix...

Now, without a broadband connection, I don't suppose you'll be able to view it all that well, but at least the rest of the club can. :P

Or, in the common vernacular of internet message boards... +1.

Re: Video Problem

Hey Tom, I have a question. I got your video to play just fine on my computer...it looks good. Does your camera shoot in widescreen? Because it looks like the proper aspect ratio is 16:9 widescreen. I was just wondering if that was intentional, or if maybe it was cropped for widescreen when you edit...

Me too, although I'd like to get there earlier than I'll be able to. My wife has some stuff to do in the morning and I have to stay for the kiddo, so by the time I can leave here, plus the 90 minute drive, it may be 10:30 or 11:00 before I get there.
