Re: Making (or Fixing) A Line Set

Yup, piano wire or guitar string works excellent. Just bend it sharply in the middle and shove the pointed bent end through the sleeving. If you still have your old sleeving just pull out the broken spectra line and shove your piano wire through it. Thread your new line through the pointed end of th...

Here is a link to Microsoft's codec download packages. This should download all compatible codec's for Windows Media Player. Usually if you have the latest version of Microsoft Media Player it will include these codec's. Here is the link: Windows Knowledge Base - Codec's Second problem is that if yo...

Re: Photos Of Favorite Revs

Hey Alan, would you be willing to part with that Nagal? I figure I will keep the Nagel Rev and the Beautiful Evil, at least the kites will look good when I fly Quad again. Would love to see some pics of your Nagel. A friend of mine here has one of the original Tom's but it has two faces. I haven't ...

Re: Question On Carbon Rods And Sizes

The Acrobatx lower spreaders are 5.85mm rods (6 mm works fine). The length is 25 3/4" or 654 mm. We have replaced the standard lower spreaders with Avia Sport .230 rods with no problems at all. Most rods are sold in a standard 32.5" length. You can get 40" & 48" lengths as we...

Welcome to the forum Shane. There are a lot of wonderful people on here that are more than willing to help you advance your flying. Don't worry too much about doing every trick on the market, that isn't what makes kite flying special. Its the fun you have while flying that counts. Just have fun and ...

Re: Need Rod For M80

Hi Shane, Welcome to the forum. Dual line sport kite frames can be pretty fragile at times *usually when they are being used as lawn darts* so don't worry about the break and in most all cases you can get direct replacement parts from your local shop. Knowing the correct terminology helps so I will ...

Re: *when NO Accessories???*

We carry the actual Revolution replacement caps in stock. These come two to a package and come with the pre-cut bungee cords. There are three different styles, standard 1" end caps, end caps with stoppers, and end caps with dust covers. Dust covers are usually used on the leading edge for the d...

Re: STUNT KITE LINE

Kite line can be compared to tires on a car. Where a good bias-ply will work just fine, it wont give you near the performance that a good high performance radial tire will. The same can go for kite line. Your Dacron line that is supplied with the kite will work ok for you for just flying the kite ar...

Re: Beginners' Tricks

Great instructions, very well put and said. One thing I have found for an ultra flat axle is to stall the kite and move towards it slightly so that the kite just barely starts to back up, just as if you were going to land the kite. At that moment initiate the axle. The kite used will make all the di...

You can also find some really neat animations & video's on the Prism website. You gotta search for them but they are there. A lot of the video's are taken from the Prism Freestyle Pilot DVD. Another awesome website is Randy G's. He has some very good video's on most of the slack line stuff. His ...

The concrete form spikes work great. We have been using them for quite a while now. You can find them at any mega home store such as Lowes or Home Depot. Cost is usually under 2 bucks and they have pre-drilled holes in them at 6-8 inch increments to nail to the form sides. Don't tie your line throug...

Re: Kites And Kids

You may want to pick up a bundle of the Frustrationless Flyers. These are "build yourself" kites that the kids can do and they fly excellent. We stock them in 10 and 20 kite packs and I am sure you will be able to get one of these packs from your local kits store. The Frustrationless Flyer...

Re: Repairs On Really BIG Pieces

We have had to do a couple repairs on my Peter Lynn Maxi Fish and on my Premier giant eel. The Maxi Fish is about the same size as your Barrell (estimating) so I know of the difficulty in getting inside that thing and sewing a panel back together. The thing that comes to mind is to completly flip th...

Re: *GIF Animator*

You can also make animated gif's with Corel Draw. Just draw your picture (or import it) then rotate/move/edit it in very small increments, saving the picture each time. Make the file name exactly the same but add an incrementing number to the end of it. Example... picture1.gif picture2.gif picture3....
