Re: Steak Size?

For a sutton 30 you shouldnt need that much stake unless your ground is really soft or your flying in hurricane wins. We stake our sutton 125's and 250's with a standard round concrete form stake you can purchase from Lowes or Home Depot. The cost is usually under 5 bucks each and it comes with hole...

Re: Quad City Kite Buggyer! Just Saying Hi

Hey Sodfarmkiter,

Thats pretty awesome. Looks like you have a huge area to ride which is always a plus.
Here's a picture of my buggy in our playground. Not nearly as green as your area, maybe someday we can both ride in each others backyard. :)

Re: Kite Buggying

We just got back from our annual NABX event and it was awesome.....totally awesome! We had roughly 200+ attendees and the sky was filled anytime the wind came up. The afternoons provided plenty of wind most of the week, I don't think we had any days when you couldn't buggy at least a couple hours at...

The new Soul from Flying Wings comes with the tubing already installed on the bridle lines. Very nice touch. :)

Great tips for keeping your bridle lines in good shape.

Re: Light Wind Kite

When the winds totally drop to nothing, my Benson [strike]Deep Space[/strike] Inner Space comes out of the bag. It will usually fly when nothing else will get in the air.

Kite name corrected. :)

Re: Light Wind Kite

I just wanted to put out a couple other options for light wind kites. The Innerspace is really an indoor or zero wind kite. I will list out a couple other kites that I have flown and really like. HQ Shadow - great kite that will trick very well down to 2-3mph winds. Little heavy for 0 wind flying. P...

Re: Kite Surfing

I would seriously look into getting some kite surfing lessons. Even though it may seem like a lot of money right now, in the end it could save you a lot more and even your life. :) Kite surfing is an extreme sport, first you need a HUGE kite to generate enough power to get you up planing on your boa...

Re: Guatemalan Kite

Well, I am guessing that the two delta's on the right are Premier, probably in the 9' or 11' range. The third delta from the right looks like a Gomberg Shazam in the warm colors, 11' delta. The Rok.....have to thing about that one but possible a Premier design....very nice rok for sure, I don't reca...

Re: Indoor Revs

FYI for indoor Rev pilots... The ultra skinny indoor rods have been discontinued for some time now. The new replacement indoor rods are made from the same lightweight carbon as the Race Rods and are lighter than the 2 wrap "Professional Use Only" rods. Length is still the same as the origi...

The Addiction is capable of doing quite a few tricks and is a very fun kite to fly. As far as tips go, check out the website below. Randy has a ton of online tutorials that should get you going in the right direction.

Randy-G's Kite Page - Online Tutorials are on the right.

If the spine you got is a direct Prism replacement then it should come with the center "t" already on the spine. It should also have the top and bottom end caps already glued onto the shaft. Just transfer the bridle attachment points over to the new spine, feed the bottom of the spine into...
