What size power kite to get..... This seems like the most common question asked by people starting out in the power kiting sport. I always say start small and move up from there. Power kites generate power based on the wind they are used in. A larger kite will produce power in less wind, smaller kit...

The sharp blades work great on ice and I know of quite a few people who ride ice buggies (and boards) and get some pretty awesome speeds out of them. Another name for a Fid is a Latch Hook Needle. And you are correct in that if you loosen up the braid on the loop, you can pull the loop back out of the line. The reason the line does not pull out is that once you pull the line through the center of the core it is inverted and the end is then tucked...
