Re: Kayla At Play With Jeff's Rev (or The Other Way Around)

Jynx,

Nice video. That will bring back memories for Jeff when Kayla is grown-up.

Looks like TI was a great trip.

Re: Experimental Feature: IKE TV

Jeff, Mike, or others: Can Ustream send a text message whenever a "show" is live broadcasting? I am now a follower of IKE on Ustream, but it doesn't look like it will notify me. Maybe there could be an Ike Twitter account just for IKE Ustream and that could be used to notify us when someon...

Voipbuster.com

My brother-in-law living in Netherlands showed me voipbuster.com last week. We normally use Skype to talk with his family. He uses voipbuster.com to talk with his parents here in the states. They don't have a PC in the house. You enter your number and then the number you are calling on the web site....

Live from Milwaukee, it's Friday Afternoon Live!

Sounds great. I can sit in front of the fireplace with laptop and be at the festival!

I'm looking forward to seeing your video. Call my cell if you want live feedback.

Re: Club Bol Build

Tom, :thanks: Six triangles attached before the bobbin ran out. Calling it quits tonight. I have new found respect for sweatshop labor. I'd starve if I had to work piece rate. John, First, remember the 100 foot rule!!! ... 2.) Can I attach the tabs to the triangles before I attach all the triangles ...

Re: Club Bol Build

OK, My goal is to finish in 2009. I have finished hemming all the triangles and have a few questions: 1.) Should I cut the tips off to make them all equal size triangles? 2.) Can I attach the tabs to the triangles before I attach all the triangles together? 3.) Should the tabs (James gave me the mat...

Re: Upgrading To Windows 7 ?

I upgraded a laptop from Vista( 64-bit} to Windows 7 (64 bit}. I did an upgrade and not a fresh install. No problems and Windows 7 is definitely better than Vista. A little less obnoxious than Vista with permissions and seems faster all around. I still have issues with Windows 7/Vista PCs talking to...

Re: L'il Lee Stack

Awesome looking kites. Tom must be one of the most prolific quad sewers in IKE. He and James may have to fight it out for the speed title though. Apparently Tom suffers from a unique strain of the virulent dark side: Stackitis. Lee Sedgewick seems to be the poster child for this strain and has ...

Re: Club Bol Build

A good time was had by all! I echo Jeepster's thanks to the Stephensons for hosting the event (great Italian Beef) and James for bringing supplies and organizing it. My thanks to Ken for getting my sewing machine adjusted and ready to fly ( or maybe hover would be more accurate) Just like flying, it...

Re: Club Bol Build

I'll be there and I have the same question as Paul. Also, should it be nylon or polyester ripstop? If I decide to precut the triangles, can I use a soldering iron to hot cut it? Does anyone have a brand name or link for edgebinding? How much do I need? Are there different widths? @Anne: All food is ...

Rich, Anytime. We will have to make this a Thanksgiving tradition. Hard to believe we were in shirtsleeves on the lakefront. Thanks for letting me fly the Flag Rev. Awesome kite. If you get a chance, can you post the picture of the flag and the Sears Tower? Hope to fly with you at Liberty Park some ...

Re: Quick Fly - Saturday, November 28 - Chicago

Chris and I will be there. What time? Looks like I'll have some free time both Saturday and Sunday... Northerly Island seems to be the the likely place to go so I'll plan on that. My time frame is likely 10 or 11 am until say 3 or 4 on both days... my cell: 201-207-6010 my BB: rich.comras@nbcuni.com...

Re: Nov 21st Club Fly

Chris, we hope your mom and father-in-law are doing better. Our family's thoughts are with you. Hard to believe we were on the shores of Lake Michigan in late November and we were in shirtsleeves! Nice steady, light breeze. Mike and Chris chased a family with their kites. The huge tent (indoor flyin...

Kite Comics

My son Chris, RevkidChris, likes an online comic called xkcd. I was checking it out and tried the "random" button to sample it. It came up with the following kite related comic. Hover your mouse over any panel to get a second related comment.

Re: Perfect Rev Spar

First, I totally agree with Babbman about practice. My son can fly in less wind than me because he is a better flyer. I can now fly in lower winds than before because I've practiced . (I'm certainly willing to practice some more with used kites. Say the word Chris when you are ready to sell some. :u...
