Re: A Routine With Rev Blasts

That was a neat routine. I like when they cross and roll over each other. The dancing bit was a cool change of pace.

Re: Your Job

I used to work for Raytheon Missile Systems designing missiles and rockets. Now I work for a company that starts with Cat and ends with erpillar. My wife laughs at me because I have gotten to design and test all the fun boy toys. Who doesn't like blowing stuff up and playing with oversize Tonka truc...

Re: Other Hobbies

Gunsmithing, I fancy the Ruger 10/22 and they aren't very good box stock so I spend a lot of time, working on those. Photography, I used to spend a lot more time at that then I do these days, hopefully that will change. RC Airplanes, I used to fly a lot but I haven't made the time in the last few ye...

Re: Did You Fly Today - 28 Dec 2008

It was a beautiful day today .... the winds were up and down, but generally good. My son had a blast. He was excited to put up his new delta that papa got him for Christmas. He achieved his goal of being as high as the water tower. Then he played his other games and watched DVD's in the truck while ...

Re: Happy Birthday, Ken

First off, Happy Birthday Ken .... we have never met, but regardless :birthday: Second, this internet is not so good. My world view is crashing down. Now I find out my uncle got in trouble at a Catholic school. I knew my grandfather was kicked out of one, but not my uncle. Then I find out my father ...

Mux11 -

That is very impressive. I really like the lettering on it. How many hours do you have invested in the kite?

Re: Happy Holidays!

I think you are right Jeepster should "take one" ... or is it "give one" for the team? I should bring that up with him today. If the weather doesn't turn around quick you can blame him.

Merry Christmas!

Re: Happy Holidays!

I believe in order to get warmer weather you are supposed to donate a kite to the newest registered member. :mrorange:

Re: BRRRRRRRRRR!

I tried to get Jeepster to go, but he just laughed at me. -3 and blowing like crazy. I thought the roof was going to collapse with all the ice cracking on the roof last night.

Re: Smurf Sized Stakes...

I used one of the new shorter stakes during the fly on Saturday and if you put it in straight up and down and land upright it would pull out, if I angled it slghlty I didn't have any problems, when I landed upside down, even with the wind, there wasn't much pull on the stake at all. I have asked the...

Club Fly - 13th Dec - Big Thank You

I would like to extend a big thank you to all of the IKE members at today's club fly. The weather, even though blustery and mixed with sleet and rain, did not dampen the mood. This was my first club fly and only the third time I had flown a Rev. All of the guys made it a very enjoyable experience an...
