Re: Sewing Machine Recommendations

Here's the link for the sewing machine help desk at Husky. You will have to register and sign in before it will let you message them though.

Re: Sewing Machine Recommendations

I've sent a request to Husqvarna sewing machine support requesting them to e-me a diagram/exploded view, and parts list for your Viking 6020...

Now let's see what kind of support Husky has. I hope we can get something useful this time.

Re: Antony's Kite Works

Chris, I did crack a smile at that. And the tetra kit doesn't look like it would have even close to $3.50 in materials and shipping costs. I just might try to see if I can make one out of free junk, fast food joint straws, and maybe plastic shopping bags would not be too heavy for the sails. I'd hav...

Re: Denny's Non-kite Hobbies.

Reciprocal tuning would be 4ths or 5ths on both the bass and melody, or at least matched octave tuning if using custom tuning. I still like trying to tap on my Guild M-75 Bluesbird, right now that's about the only thing that sounds halfway OK. (other than my hammered dulcimers...)

Re: Stunning Quad Handles

I have multiple adjustments on my foil risers, and yes I keep my brakes set tight when flying. Not only does it help control the power, but reverse flight, soft landing, reverse launching is all quite easy with a quad line foil. And yes, that's something I never would've thought to try were it not f...

Re: Stunning Quad Handles

As far as reverse flying, I'm still a bit jittery, same with inverted slides, and stationary spins. (You're going to have fun trying to teach me stationary flying techniques!) I'm spending most of my flying time working on stationary stuff, and I blame most of it on the wind of course

Well, if it's attention you're after, having gear like that will certainly do the trick...

But what do they do that standard handles don't? Oh yeah, they $cost$ more than I make...

Re: Antony's Kite Works

Thanks for that Chris. The tetrahedral kite is one of the first kites I ever built, and had success flying on the first try. My plan for this includes: 1 box drinking straws, 1 pack tissue paper, 1 spool thread/small string, 1 tube stick glue, 1 spool kite string... A tail is a good idea if the wind...
