Re: Improving Standard 1.5 SLE Experience

I got an EXP, 1.5 SLE and shokhwave. I like EXP for the light wind days while 1.5 SLE returns better precision. The shockwave is a whole different toy and having plyed with foils they pull my hands out of my body in a more gentle way. I'm thinking of a next step to get a nice precise rev for wider ...

Chris, Well, it's a cheap upgrade, but with older memory (PC2700 DDR) it's not dirt cheap. I bit the bullet yesterday and bought a 1G stick of Kingston memory from ...

Re: Internet Explorer V8

Malwarebytes, Sysinternals and AVG are my standards. I've also had great luck with Registry Mechanic, even on Windows 7. The other essential is crapcleaner (ccleaner now) which takes care of all the extra junk that comes down as part of web browsing. On memory, at this point in time, the more memory...

Re: Available Memory

There are quite a few programs out there that will tell you what is running in the background. as for comparisons, apples to apples... 1st thing is doing the comparisons on newly installed apps with all of the proper drivers running. That's the only time you can be sure you are looking at something ...

Re: Internet Explorer V8

I rely on 2 programs to keep me relatively free from crapware.. Malwarebytes & AVG Free Both have worked well for me. as for registry errors, I suggest that 99% of these are from programs that are just written badly and who's uninstall programs don't uninstall everything. I've had brand new OS i...

Re: Who felt the quake?

We felt it up here too. "No, I did NOT have a fissure with bubbling magma open up in my backyard." Really? Now I have this thing in my yard. [albumimg]1377[/albumimg] What kind of shrubbery goes with lava? On the plus side it did melt most of the snow. Now that had me laughing till ...

Who felt the quake?

I woke up at 3:30am today for some reason and decided to just stay up. As I was standing in the kitchen, listening to the wind blow, the entire house started shaking with a rather audible rumble... NOT wind... I was looking out the window and saw the reflection of my computer blur... 1st thought... ...

Re: No more Pontiac Festivals

Yes it is, but I'm afraid that it will be more common with our economy in the state it's in. I think we will see either festivals canceled or comped hotel rooms/food, etc eliminated for the time being. Maybe the more established festivals will be able to afford it, but not the small/local/new ones. ...

Re: Club Bol Build

I'd love to be there but December is usually extremely tied up and this year, even worse...

My mom is still in the hospital and probably coming home on the 12th, so I'll be taking a pass.

But it doesn't mean I can't build one sometime before the next season...

Re: Nov 21st Club Fly

well, here's the quick update on my mom. For a 68 year old woman, she's handled everything pretty well. They did have to put her chest tube back in on Sat to help her breath but she's been getting better everyday... And the way we are tracking it is by how many tubes they remove each day..lol.. than...

Re: Nov 21st Club Fly

as much as I'd REALLY like to be there, I won't be able to. My mom had surgery on Wed and they found cancer and took part of her lung. She's in the hospital till at least next Wednesday and I'd rather be with her. Sorry guys and gals. For those of you not in the know, along with this, my wife's dad ...

I get rally anal about this subject..lol... cause none of it really matters until you accomplish the most basic part of anything which is learning. And you learn by practice. Not by weighing spars or changing them out when the wind changes a few mph or buying a kite that claims to fly in no wind... ...

Re: Perfect Rev Spar

Chris, Thanks for the complete answer. I think many fliers, after an initial learning period, follow your idea of flying what you have installed. Many will claim that the verticals take the most load, so it's interesting that you've been flying with P090 rods in that position with no problems. Chee...
