Re: Club Fly / Picnic

We'll be missing the picnic. That weekend I will be in Cedar Point riding amazing coasters! I can't wait. I have wanted to go there for a while and am finally getting the chance!

Sorry I missed out on the shirt discussion. For what it's worth, I like #3 the best.

I won't be able to make it this weekend. My Grandma and I are going to Hudson, WI to visit my uncle, aunt and cousins on their farm.

See you in Cincinnati!

Re: Light Wind Kite

I really like my Ultralight BlueMoon Mamba. It flies just like my Standard Mamba, only in lighter wind. I haven't flown a better ultralight kite, especially one that handles the same way the standard does. As far as tricks, even though it is an ultralight, it will do everything the standard kite doe...

Re: Seal Beach, California.

Hi Hector, As a competitive and demo flyer, I feel that flying to any song that someone else has already flown to, whether in a demo setting or a competition, is against the unwritten "rules" of kiting. Regardless of whether or not that song is currently being flown or has been retired by ...

Re: Quad Team Practice

Lisle is a really nice place to fly. Just about guaranteed space. The wind can be bad, but the field is open enough that you can move around. And bad wind makes you a better flyer. We haven't been to Busse Woods for a while. Every time we went there on a Saturday it was packed with soccer. Zach

Re: Competition Insights From Other Forums

One of the ways that I am able to fly in low/no wind is that I intentionally practice in no wind. Also, when there is no wind, many flyers change the settings on the Rev to make it have more forward drive. I don't do that. I keep the same settings as if I were flying a standard with 90# line as I do...

Re: Competition Insights From Other Forums

In reference to the above posting: In the Midwest we really have difficult wind conditions. When there is no wind, and I am competing in a Multiline discipline, I fly a my Ultralight 1.5 Rev on 50#, 75' line. I do feel that 75' is a little short because when I fly my standard Rev, I am on 90#, 90'. ...

Re: Nov 24th Club Fly!!!

Chris,

We haven't been out to Lisle since Nationals. If the weather holds we are going to try to make it out one day next week. Thanks for the tip about the golfer, we'll keep our eyes peeled!
