Re: Vertical rods question

Updated my previous post with full set weights. If anyone can weigh the full 3-wrap set and the green set and the race set we can have quite nice details here. I love flying the standard sail with 2-wrap rods but I mind too much bow when wind picks up. Same with full vented - last week I flew it on ...

Re: Vertical rods question

I was flying the 3-wrap rods but I sold the EXP recently and now I'm left with a 2-wrap set, a 4-wrap set and the SLE set with 3-wrap vertical rods. But coming back to original question details - assuming that 4-wrap LE set flies better than 3-wrap SLE, is it heavier or lighter? I guess I can stop b...

Re: Vertical rods question

Okay, now I'm looking for a set of 3-wrap UL leading edge rods. A center and one side piece could be enough - I've got one rod already but I'd get all three as well - just so I have a spare.
Folks, let me know if you'd have rods for sale.

Vertical rods question

Two questions: 1. Is there a good reason for using same weight/strength vertical rods as on leading edge, why not tuning it down to 3-wrap (for 4-wrap LE) or 2-wrap (for 3-wrap LE) ? 2. If I'm flying 1.5 SLE with 1/2" SLE 3-wrap UL leading edge - would it make better experience to use 4-wrap 1/...

Re: Rev handles needed

I'd take either 11" or 13" - I hope 11" will be easier to come by since they're just basic handles. A fancy pair of handles Mike uses are a dream :)

Rev handles needed

Folks if you have a spare pair of Rev handles you're willing to sell - I'm in need of one. I'll be at GLKF and can pick it up there.

Thanks

Madison crew to GLKF 5/16-5/17?

Madison folks going to GLKF - I know there will be someone going, In need a bit of help getting a SUP paddle to the event. It's a bit of stretch to do a hook from Champaign to Madison and it's not a post-friendly item to ship.

Thanks in advance if you can help.

Peter Lynn 5.7m waterfoil - for a sewing project.

Folks, I have a "little sewing project" offer here A Peter Lynn waterfoil 5.7m kite, an old model of Peter Lynn fixed bridle closed cell foils was sitting in my closet. I noticed one 7" long single thread went bad, began to inspect others and ended up opening seams on 5 cells so stitc...

Re: My First Outdoor, Short Line, Rev Fly

My short lines are 50'. I had a great beach-along walk flying a rev in onshore wind with those. Right enough not to slalom between the palm trees and not having to wade either.

What would a random visitor to the topic think reading about 240' lines in "Short Quad Line Sets" forum? :)

Re: Short Quad Line Sets

I've made 48' set and had great time last December walking down the beach by Punta Cana. Short enough to avoid trees and kept rev responsive.
120'+79'+48' make my three nice sets.

Completely opposite to the topic subject but I'm wondering if anyone ever tried 1000' quad set?

Hi,
I never flown Rev 1 before - does it feel any different flying a larger kite. I think it's heavier too, right?

Lightwind dual-line kite

Hi folks,
I enjoy dual-line kites for fun flying and looking for a good lightwind kite - not much for tricks, more for joy. Thought of Prism 4D but there must be some bigger or lighter. Would you suggest, please?
