Re: So Whats It Like Fying Big Kites

I thought it would be fun to have a giant. I have just a medium gecko and now have LOTS of respect for the giants and whats involved. I always thought it would be fun to be a sponsored flyer until I went to visit with Rick Agar and Jerry McGuire while they were flying at Kites On Ice in 2005. It was...

Re: New Flow Form

Hi Chris, I don't have a floform but I do have a Lynn Pilot that I made at MAKR this year. The anchor depends on where you are going to fly it. At the beach, sand anchors work great and are easy and small to carry around, ( my sand anchor did get dragged down the beach last year in Grand Haven but i...

Re: Fighter Kite

Indian fighter. You can get them very cheaply here. One of these days I'm going to order a bunch and bring them to a club fly to play with. I have some of those and they are a great deal, ( and do fly nicely  ) What I would get though would be a Fusion Fighter These were designed to meet the ne...

Re: Spousal Support

My wife will fly a stunter if I set it up for her. She has finally gotten good enough that she rarely crashes and she can manuver the kite on the ground enough to re-launch herself :clap . She isn't into talking about kites or listening to me talk to others about kites . She did buy me a 46' gecko f...

Re: Chris's Non-kite Hobbies

The 36" was cool but a whole different feel. It had a lot of mass and you couldn't just pop up on it like a 20" or 24" It took a bit to get it moving and also a bit to slow it back down again :-D

Re: Grant L

Re: Chris's Non-kite Hobbies

Wow! That's incredible. In Chicago, I had a guy try to fly my rev while on a Segway. He couldn't do it, you need a spare hand to operate the Segway. So I guess I'll never get a Segway. :-D Either that or I have to learn to fly like Ken (one-handed). My sister-in-law has a Segway. I'll have to try i...
