Re: Club Fly-- Saturday July 25, 2009

Thank you Mike. Hunter has been super excited to fly it. When he got home he was telling me all about it, and already talking about the inland swirly winds and the tree lines. Another generation will never look at open fields the same again.

:thanks:

Thanks Jeepster - 3 New Sets Of Snagless Handles

I would like to extend a big thank you to Jeepster for my new handles. He spent a lot of time ironing out bugs, and I definitely benefited from his efforts. i will tryt to get better pictures in daylight, the artificial light in my basement and the camera flash do not do the anodizing justice .........

Re: Club Fly-- Saturday July 25, 2009

Mike insisted he could fly anything. We took him up on the offer and so here he is attaching a bridle to a tree. http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c209/Jasper21/0725091256.jpg Actually, in truth he was calling and Rose followed him in. She makes a great wing women. http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/...

Re: Club Fly-- Saturday July 25, 2009

Saturday was a great day. I am glad Hunter and I could make it up. I had more fun at this fly than the majority of the festivals I have been to (not saying much i have only been to three festivals). As usual everyone was super nice, truly a family. Mike S. made Hunter's day. Not only did he spend Sa...

Re: 2009 June 6-7, Naperville Kite Festival

I wish I could have gone to Naperville, and I'm bummed that Jeepster had to come back, but I sure appreciated his help. My wife was out of town too. Hunter is doing much better today. He is back to harassing his sister and Amanda said she has had enough of him sitting on the coach bossing her around...

Re: Half Pint Project

Too bad John wasnt flying one handed, and holding his other hand out from his side. It would have looked like he was holding you up. :rotfl It definitely would have been even a wilder shot. 8) Ken - Is this the shot you were looking for? http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c209/Jasper21/mid_Iquad_Hug...

Re: Half Pint Project

Sailor is on to something. A nice yellow star in the center would make it look like a Carl's Junior/Hardees.

A McKite and a Carl Junior Kite.

Re: 2009 Grand Haven Kite Festival

Tragedy ... well, not really just a conflict. I am coaching my son's soccer team and his last game is on May [strike]15[/strike]. I misread, it is that Saturday May 16 at 10:30.

Who is thinking about going to Grand Haven.

I am trying to make it to this festival, but I am unsure of where to stay during it. Do you guys have any recommendations?

Re: Howdie.

Jeremy - Welcome to the group. Glad you made it over to our own little iitty-bitty corner. Wish I could have made it to KP and met you in person. IKE does stand for International Kite Enthusiasts. I don't know why Mike K. keeps insisting it is Illinois Kite Enthusiast. He can be a bit daft at times.
