Re: Spike Ball Update

I am thinking that these need another modification. They need some sort of one way vent that would suck in the child that was trying to twist off a spike and not let him back out.~~ ~~W.C. Fields said it best: "Sure I llke children, They are best with BBQ sauce." Modification: Turn your S...

Re: Grandpa?

If the birthday in Denver's profile is correct, you are older than Denver! :rotfl  No doubt guys... I just turned 33 on the 9th. :blink2: I'm only 5 years older than my oldest stepdaughter, and her B/F is about 5 years older than me... I've been in the family for almost 7 years, and we've all ...

Re: Handles

That works for me... If the SUL handles are 2" longer that'd give me a more stable control using my SLE handles. Less over control. That sound about right? 2" sounds like quite a bit more on the control though  but I guess that would be needed with 15' lineset. I'll be very eager to ...

Grandpa?

Just found out that I'm going to be a grandpa. My stepson and his wife are 5 weeks pregnant, and couldn't be higher on life. My wife on the other hand is still in shock :blink2: and still won't admit to being middle aged at all yet. This will be the first grandchild, and really something for me to l...

Re: Handles

I know REV says on their site that they are "feather-light graphite" handles, but would there be a problem with over-controling with the SLE handles? :revspin:

Handles

Is there any reason why I couldn't use the handles I got with my SLE for a SUL? I know they're not the same, but just how much different do they REALLY feel? If I don't NEED to up the extra cash just for something that won't feel all that much different, I can't justify spending the, um... well, ext...

Re: Xmas Inflatable To Line Laundry

Before I worry too much about hanging the laundry I'm going to have to get some goodies from Dave at Chicago Kite. I'm still thinking the next kite in my bag will have to be an SUL. And get the stuff to make those 120 linesets.

It's nice to see that thing in action after talking about it. How was the wind? Sounds blustery... Looks like that kite might take a little beating though.

Re: 16 Kite Revolution Megateam

I know you're right Mike... It's also harder than it looks. You have to be able to hold the kite perfectly steady in any orientation, judge your speed relative to everyone elses, and be able to visualize what the formation will look like and where you belong in it.~~ ~~ but all the kite lines look n...
