I'm afraid this could be a possible hardware failure with the printer. Let us try these steps: 

• Check for any paper jams or obstructions inside the printer.
• Re-insert the ink cartridges.

Step 1: Reset the All-in-One

1. Press the Power button to turn off the product.

2. Disconnect the power cord from the rear of the product.

3. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the product.

4. Press the Power button to turn on the product.

Step 2: Attach the control panel faceplate

If the control panel overlay, or bezel, is incorrectly installed, the product might indicate a fatal error condition. If the product has not been set up before, ensure correct installation of the control panel overlay by following the instructions as presented.

If you already installed the control panel overlay, and your product has been working for some time, do not attempt to reinstall the overlay. Press firmly on the overlay to ensure proper installation of the overlay adhesive or pins.

If you have already installed the control panel overlay, proceed to the next solution.

1. Press the Power button to turn off the product.

2. Disconnect the power cord from the rear of the product.

3. Lift the scanner lid, and then carefully line up and install the control panel overlay. Insert the control panel faceplate tabs into the slots on top of the product.

   

4. Press down firmly on all edges of the faceplate to secure it.

   

5. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the product.

6. Press the Power button to turn on the product.

7. Try the task again.
