There is a post on the Clarke-Tech forum by a mod explaining this is not a general problem, but a faulty batch which apparently have not all been returned yet. Exact same thing happened - the bootloader shows after reboot with RED Xtrend logo and linux 2. OK - well tried that and no go : So unhooked the HD and started from scratch - no go.
